TROPHY FOR COMPETITION [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] PALMER23TON NORTH, Tuesday A trophy presented by Mr. M. H. Oram, of Palmerston North, which is to be known as the Squadron-Leader & McGregor Memorial Trophy, was iu view at the. annual meeting of the Middle Districts Aero Club to-night. The conditions governing the have not been finalised, bat the club thinks the trophy is too valuable for local competition, and suggests that it be handed to the New Zealand Aero Club for a national competition, provided the donor approves of this being done. Two club awards were announced a* follows:—Best all-round pilot of the year: R. L. McGaffin. Best fir&t-jear pilot: P. West.
