SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP FOURTH SERIES OF MATCHES SEVERAL EVEN CONTESTS The fourth series of games in tho first grade championship of the Auckland Cricket Association will bo finalised to-morrow. In tho principal contest, on No. 2 wicket at Eden Park, University should havo an interesting struggle with Grafton. University scored tho good total of 281 in its first innings, while Grafton replied with 63 for one wicket. The latter is a strong batting side and University's total should not be beyond its reach. Eden also made a good start against Y.M.C.A. in the match on No. 1 wicket, scoring 275 in its first innings. Y.M.C.A. scored 2"1 for no -wickets. The latter team has shown some excellent batting in tho previous series and the Eden bowlers should be thoroughly tested to-morrow. A very interesting position exists in tho King's Old Boys-Parnell match on Mo. 3 wicket, Ihe former mado tho small total of 132 in its first innings, while Parnell has lost eight wickets for 108. North Shore should havo a slight advantage over Ponsonby at Dovonport. North Shore compiled 203 and Ponsonby roplied with 103 for three wickets. Lower grade competitions will bo continned. Following are the teams: — PARNELL Third Grade.—E. Judson, M. Salas, C. Kavanagh, R. Appleyard, J. Robinson, I. Sale, G. Veitch, X Gregg, G. Caisley, W. Larsen, W. Watts.

SUBURBAN MATCHES SECOND SERIES TO CONCLUDE The second series of matches in the first round of the Auckland City and Suburban Cricket Association s senior championship will be concluded at the Domain to-morrow, when interesting play is anticipated. In tho principal game, Manukau on tho first day compiled 229 in its first innings, while Ponsonby scored 20 runs without loss. Ponsonby showed excellent batting form in its first match and should tho wicket conditions be favourable Manukau will havo a difficult task to dismiss the batsmen before its score has been reached. Tho match between Roskill (142) and R.V., four wickets for 10, is at an interesting stage. R.V.'s innings opened sensationally last Saturday, and last year's champions will need to niako a great recovery to master the Roskill attack. Green Lane, with two wickets for 148, appears certain to defeat Brixton, which was dismissed for no. The senior B section and junior grades will also bo continued.
