FORMATION AT TE PUKE [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT ] TE PUKE, Monday A meeting was helrl at Te Puko for the purpose of forming a rod and gun club, to be known as the To Puke Rod and Gun Club. Mr. P. D. George pointed out the advantages of having such a club in Te Puke and the benefit 'it would be to local sportsmen in assisting the Acclimatisation Society in the control of shooting and fishing. The following officers were elected: — President, Mr. Jt. D. George; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. C. Galpin and F. Cook; secretary, Mr. S. Wylie; treasurer, Mr. H. Cuff'; general committee, Messrs. S. Chatfield, J. Prior, H. Wickham, G. C. Howell, E. Gilmore nnd J. 51cKenxhef sub-committee, Messrs. P. D. George, Wylie and Howell. The next meeting will be held when the sub-com-mittee has drawn up the rules.
