Limited quantities have been sold for direct railing from the Bay of Plenty. However, local business is being done in the importer! BARLEY i The market for Australian barley is quiet, in anticipation of the importation of new season's stocks in December. The price of i clipped through store is practically unaltered at frum Gs -Id to Gs Gd a bushel. On arrival jof the new season's supplies, the through store price of clipped will be about 5s Gd a | bushel, with undipped about 4d a bushel cheaper. OATS AND CHAFF There has been little alteration in the market for oats in the past week. Prices are unchanged at from 4s Sd to 4s lUd a bushel, through store. Chaff is meeting with a quiet inquiry at last week's level of about £lO a ton, through store. BRAN AND POLLARD No improvement has taken place in the position of bran, antl an acute shortage still exists. The market is firm and prices arc unaltered at abyut £7 a ton.
