PARASITES SHIPPED
BOUND FOR JAMAICA When tho liner Tainui left Auckland last evening for Southampton she carried five cases of parasites which will be unloaded at Kingston, Jamaica, for use by tho Department of Agriculture in eradication of a banana pest. The parasites, which arrived in Auckland from Singapore some weeks ago, have been kept in a boiler room for warmth. As they are packed in a banana plant fibre they have needed only water during their stay here. Their voyage to Kingston will bo in tho baggage room of the Tainui^
