BUDGERIGAR SOCIETY
RARE VARIETY ON DISPLAY A specimen of the opaline budgerigar aroused much interest at a meeting this week -of the Budgerigar Society. The bird had been received by Mr. B. Cutler from a - South Australian breeder, together with n letter describing the differences between his birds and .those of a local breeder. So far there are only three breeders of this variety, the third being in England. The president, Mr. It. Walker, outlined two competitions which the society is to hold this season, and a judging demonstration was given by Messrs. R. Hutchinson, A. Barnes, B. Cutler and R. Walker.
