DICKENS FELLOWSHIP
The 12th session of the Auckland Dickens Fellowship was brought to a successful close Inst evening by the annual dinner and a subsequent meeting, both being held under the presidency of Mr. H. C. Robinson. There was an attendance of about 70 at the dinner, which was held at the Ascot tea rooms. An interesting menu was provided, all the courses bearing Dickensian titles. The meeting, held at the club rooms, was also largely attended. An interesting address on "David Copperfield; the book" was given by the Rev. A. 15. Chappell. The programmes of the season have been devoted principally to a study of the first half of this book. The remaining portion will be dealt with ncNt season.
