CONVERSION OF BICYCLE
OFFENCE BY SEAMAN Charges of drunkenness and of converting to his own use a bicycle valued at £B. were preferred against a seaman, Charles Alexander Dickey, aged 30 (Mr. Fraer) in the Police Court yesterday. Accused admitted the drunkenness charge and subsequently admitted the facts in connection with the second charge. Replying to the magistrate, Mr. Wyvern Wilson, who said drink appeared to be the trouble, accused said lie was prepared to take out a prohibition order. Accused was fined 10s. in default 24 hours' imprisonment, for drunkenness. On the conversion charge he was convicted without penalty and ordered to take out a prohibition order for 12 months.
