OFFENDING MOTORISTS
FEWER CASES IN AUCKLAND Considerably fewer cases than usual ciime before tin; weekly traffic' Courts at Auckland on Wednesday, and both magistrates. Mr. W. It. MeKean and Mr. C. it. Orr Walker, were able to adjourn proceedings before noon. About 30 cases brought by the City Council traffic superintendent Mi\ C. Bland, were dealt with by Mr. Orr Walker. Right drivers charged with speeding were fined amounts ranging lro»n £1 to £4, tiilrs ranging from 10s to were imposed upon six men charged with speeding, and nine drivers were fined either 5s or 10s for leaving their curs stationary in streets. • Iwelve cases brought by the police were heard before Mr. MeKean. The highest fine, £7 10s, was imposed upon a- young man charged with driving without a licence, the offence taking place at a time when defendant was prohibited from holding a licence.
