The annual meeting of the New Zealand branch of the Empire Parliamentarv Association was held to-da\. The Speaker of the H6use of Representatives, the Hon. Barnard, pre-
sided. % The following officers were elected:— Presidents, the Speaker of the Legislative Council, Sir Walter Carncross, and Mr. Barnard; vice-presidents, the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, the Leader of tho Legislative Council, th© Hon. M. Fagan. the Leader of the Opposition, the Hon. A. Hamilton, the Et. Hon. G. W. Forbes, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, and-Sir James Allen; honorary treasurer, the Hon. W. W. Snodgrass; honorary secretary, the Clerk of Parliaments, Mr. C. M. Bothamley.
