STOLE £5 FROM BROTHER

ADMITTED TO PROBATION [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] P AERO A, Friday Appearing before Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., at the Paeroa Police Court today, Leslie .lames Johnson, a miner, 23 years of age, was placed on probation for two years after pleading guilty to a charge of the theft of £5 from his brother. Constable A. J. Maiden said the two brothers shared a room. Complainant had 10 single notes and a £5 note in a tin in a locked box. When he found that the money was missing he taxed his brother about it. but accused denied any knowledge of it. The police were informed and after they had questioned accused he admitted the theft.
