FATAL MASTERTON FIRE
ELECTRIC IRON LEFT ON [BY tklkghai'h—prkss association] MASTERTON', Tuesday An inquest was hold to-day concerning the death of Mrs.' \\ H. Jackson who was fatally burned in a lire at her home on the morning of October 6. The coroner, Mr. F. G. Kton, returned a verdict of death from shock and severe burns. Tlii! evidence showed that the lire was caused through an electric iron being left on in mistake for a radiator. The late Mrs. Jackson was at one time Mayoress and a prominent social worker.
