TRAINING AS PILOTS
THE CIVIL RESERVE 15 CANDIDATES SELECTED [BY TKI.KGRAPH SPECIAL RM'ORTER] WELLINGTON, Tuesday The selection of 15 additional candidates from aero clubs for training in the civil reserve of pilots was announced this evening by the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones. The names and clubs ot' the approved pilots are as follows:—Auckland Aero Club, Mr. K. V. Best; Southland Aero Club. Mr. D. H. Howarth; Hawke's Bay and East Coast Aero Clubs, Messrs. B. R. Dill. G. W. Cotterill, C. M. H. Gibson. A. H. Heri, C. K. van Aseli, A. U. Caro, A. H. McGregor; Western Federated Flying Club. Messrs. C. N. Whittington, T. D. Webster, N. H. Andrew, A. G. Merewether, L. B. McCarthy, A. S. Ballingall.
