FRIESIAN ASSOCIATION
THE ANNUAL MEETING OFFICERS FOR THE YEAR * The annual meeting of the Auckland central branch of the New Zealand Friesian Association was held yesterday, Mr. A..G. Trousdale, branch chairman, presiding over a good attendance of members. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £3B. The North Island championships were allotted to the Auckland Agricultural and 'Pastoral Association show in February; 1938. The 1938-39 Royal Show will be held at Claudelands, Hamilton. Friesians in the Auckland Province gained five- of the seven medals awarded to class leaders in butter-fat production for 1936 throughout New Zealand.
The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —Chairman, Mr. H. Jolly; treasurer, Mr. D. J. McGowan; committee, Messrs. R. A. Bell, R. C. Clark, W. S. Duder, V.H. Hatrick, W. Louden,'A. W. Montgomerie, J. W. Morgan, F. G. Mullins, D. J. MeGowan, F. B. Pegler, S. P. Pender grast, J. N A. Pym, M. S. Rennie, A. E. B. Richardson, L. Smvtheman, A. C. Trousdale, J. Tutt, J. Woodbridge. Recommendations were made to the New Zealand Friesian Association to make the following appointments of judges:—Official judges. R. A. Bell, A. \V. Montgomerie, F. B. Pegler; junior judges, Messrs. F. Duder, H. S. Rennie," A. E. B. Richardson.
