JOURNALISM PRIZES
TWO AUCKLAND AWARDS [by telegraph—press association] WELLINGTON. Tuesday The first prize -in the competition in practical journalism conducted by the New Zealand Journalists' Association has been awarded to Mr. F. C. Jones, of tho Auckland Star. The judges, Mr. C. G. Maeari, of the Otago Daily Times, and Professor T. D. Adams, of the University of Otago, recommended that no second prize should bo given. The third prize was awarded to Mr. E. K. Green, of the -Auckland Star.
