COMMUNITY SUNSHINE
REVIEW OF ACTIVITIES The monthly meeting of the Onehunga branch of the Community Sanshine Association was held in the Onehunga Borough Council chambers. Mrs. T. Mackune presided. Mrs. B. G. Currie and Mrs. I. Hall reported that they had interviewed the headmasters of the schools in the Onehunga • district and had submitted a lengthy list to headquarters of children for admission to the health camps. The Mayoress, Mrs. J. Park, reported that arrangements were in hand for the sale of health stamps in cooperation with the Post Office. Mrs. N. A. Sutherland was appointed coin'ener for the collection boxes. A social in the form of a cup and saucer and handkerchief afternoon, was held at Sunshine House on Friday in aid of a forget-me-not fair to he held in November. The afternoon was organised by Mrs. A. Blomfiold and the ladies' auxiliary. The hall Avas beautifully decorated with golden poppies and greenery. The guests were received by the lady president, Mrs. W. Champneys Bright. Assisting with an entertainment programme were Miss Jovco .Tones, Mrs. C. D. Simpson, Mrs. Ernest Asher and Mrs. A. E. Burton. The accompanist was Miss May Beresford.
