WRESTLING
fouche to meet woods The Auckland wrestling public was greatly impressed by Francis Fouche when he mado his first appearance in the Town Hall against "Lofty" Blomfield, and the fact that he has been booked again for next Monday night will cause general satisfaction. Ihe tall Frenchman's opponent on Monday will he Joe Kopach Woods. Those who have seen Woods in action this season arc convinced that r.e is a far better wrestler than ho was last year and that he is going to be hard to eliminate from th 3 championship tournament. NOLAN DEFEATS JUDSON [BY TELEGRAPH —PIJIESS association] WANGANUI, Thursday In a bout marked by poor showmanship and an absolute lack of wrestling, Dan Nolan secured a decision over Frank Judson by two falls to one last evening. The bout was the worst seen in Wanganui since the advent of professional wrestling. Holds were few and far between, and. the spectators were treated to an exhibition of hair and ear pulling, kicking, biting and unnecessary appeals to the referee. _ Had the referee stopped the bout in the second round and declared it no contest tho decision undoubtedly would have been popular with tho crowd, which voiced its disapproval in no uncertain manner at the end of tho bout.^
