NAVAL DROWNING
OPENING OF INQUEST An inquest into the death of Able Seaman Alexander M. Patterson, who was one of three ratings drowned off Karaka Bay during the Diomede Cup race, was opened yesterday. The body was found on the western shore of Brown's Island on Wednesday morning. After hearing evidence of identification, the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, adjourned the inquest sine die.
