RETURNED SOLDIERS
NORTHCOTE ASSOCIATION Details of the purchase of the property for a hall for the Northcote Returned Soldiers' Association were given at the half-yearly meeting by the president, Mr. A. V. Tyer. The price paid ■was £750, of which £6OO was financed by mortgage Renovations had been carried out by several members. Mrs. R. S. Norman donated a gramophone for the use of members, and Mr W. Marshall also gave a number of records. The establishment of a lending library was reported by Mr. M. Davis, and Mr. Humberstone appealed for the donation' of further suitable books. A musical programme was subsequently, enjoyed, the. instrumental accompaniments being played by-Messrs. W. Mayall, 6. .Crawford and F. Roberta.
