CURTAILMENT IN BRITAIN LONDON. Oct. 5 Pleading poverty for the first time in its history, tho British Broadcasting Corporation has banned hcfore-break-fast broadcasts. If tho station is to be opened for this session, it will cost from £SOOO to £IO.OOO a year. Although the 8.8.C.'s income is £3,000,000, it is claimed that the Empiro broadcasts and television aro a severe financial strain.
