TE RAPA DOINGS

SOLID FIVE FURLONGS MUNGACRE AND GRAND SCORE WHIRLING DISPLAYS DASH [llY TEIEMUI'H —OWN COIUtKSPONDKNT] HAMILTON. Tuesday There was considerable activity at Te Ha pa this morning, when the going, 66ft. out from the rails, was cutting out slightly. The best efforts over short distances were those of Mungacre and Grand Score, while Gay Streak pleased most over a round.

Whirling (C. L. Goulsbro) ran threo furlongs in 38 1-os, and demonstrated that lie has lost little of his brilliance. Requiem (C. L. Goulsbro) and Senacre (McKenzie) ran half a mile in oss.

Mungacre (Gollop) and Grand Score (Thomson) recorded the best figures by getting to the end of five furlongs in 1.7 3-5, the first half-mile in 53 l-ss. Both did their work pleasingly and are in good shape for engagements ahead. Gay Streak (Gollop) ran once round in the first half-mile in 56 4-ss. He should run well at Paeroa.

Sinking Fund (McKenzie) and Gay Seton (Ozanne) dashed over five furlongs in 1.10, tho first half-mile occupying 55*s. Gay Seton appears to have benefited by his race at Avondale. Philemup (Sullivan) and Gadger (Thomson) were practically together and clear of Valpai (Bootsma) at the end of a round in 2.14, running the first half-mile in 56 4-ss. They ran the first half-mile in 54Js, a useful effort on the part of both horses. Trilliarcli (McLaughlin) covered six furlongs in 1.23, the first half-mile in 545. He is bearing a healthy appearance and should make his presence felt at Paeroa. - ■ , Merial finished clear of Poland and Royal Mistake at tho end of fivo furlongs in l.lOi. Merial is in fine fettle and should give a good account of herself when next produced. Orac (Thomson) ran once round in 2.12, being assisted over the last six furlongs by Boughal (Mclnally), who finished in front. The first three furlongs occupied 42 l-os, and the final six 1.29 4-5. Orac has been working well.

Mangukaha (Amunsden) ran two furlongs along the back in 25 3-ss. Du Maurier (Thomson) proved too good for Little Anglia (Long) over three furlongs in 39 l-ss. Hunting Blood (Mclnally) was doing hotter than Desert Wings (Amunsden) at the end of half a mile in 54£s. Hunting Blood is making good progress under M. J. Carroll's direction. L'Allegro (Mcllroy) led Gascyne (Sullivan) and Brvce Street (McLaughlin) in a similar task, L'Allegro carrying on for a further flight. He risked several obstacles.'' High Commissioner (Kowhai) and Red Fox (Muir) jumped three fences of the steeplechase country and completed their work in pleasing manner.
