NORTH SHORE GUIDES
ANNUAL MEETING HELD The annual meeting of the committee of the North Shore Girl Guide Company was held in the parish hall, Devonport. Divisonal commissioner Mrs. A. McCosh Clark presided. The reports for the year were read by Mrs. G. H. Robins, Miss Hilda Gooding, Miss Mary Gillies and Miss Francis Gill. The Mayor of Devonport, Mr. H. F. W. Meiklc, mado a brief address and was presented with a bouquet of spring flowers for Mrs. Meiklc, who is indisposed. The new Devonport commissioner, Mrs. A. G. Quartley, was introduced by Mrs. McCosh Clark. A short programme included pianoforte solos by Miss L. Thornton and Miss Audrey Kelsea, and elocutionary items by Miss Peggy Beaumont. The result of the election of officers was as follows: —Patron. Mrs. Meiklc; president, Mrs. H. Corbett; vicepresidents, Mrs. W. J. Lyon, Mrs. D. A. Clarke, Mrs. H. Ellis, Mrs. G. H. McClelland, Mrs. W. J. Aughton and Miss Nora Clarke; honorary secretary, Mrs. G. H. Robins; honorary treasurer, Mrs. W. J. Murfitt; committee, Mrs. W. C. Beaumont (retiring president), Mrs. J. N. Waddell, Mrs. J. R. Spicer, Mrs. C. "Blake, Mrs. R. Melhose, Mrs. B. Martin, Mrs. E. Mullan, Mrs. Bligh Gribben; district badge commissioner, Mrs. Murfitt; outside badge commissioner, Mrs. Bond; representative district executive, Mrs. Robins,
