JUNIOR MANAGEMENT VISITS TO COUNTRY CENTRES Applications from various clubs for permission to visit country centres were granted at last evening's meeting of the junior management board of the Auckland Kugby Union.
An intermediate player who was ordered off the field last Saturday received a caution and was requested to tender an apology to the referee.
H. Emus, of the Grafton Club, was regraded to intermediate. It. was agreed to weigh members of the teams taking part in the finals of the third and fourth (jrade competitions next Saturday. The following ground officials were apprinted for Saturday:—Walker Park, Mr. S. Higgens; Sturges Park, Mr. J. White; North Shore, Mr. Belshaw; Onehunca, Messrs. J. Davenport, S. THIRD GRADE TRIAL With a view to selecting an Auckland third grade Rugby representative side to play Thames Valley juniors at Paeroa, a trial match between A and B teams will be staged next Saturday. Tho Tauranga Rugby Union's challengo for To Hurinui Apanui Shield will be played on September 11. The Rangitaiki team, the holder, will meet Apanui on Saturday, and Tauranga plays the winner of that game.
