HEAD-ON COLLISION

SIX PEOPLE IN HOSPITAL ACCIDENT ON HUTT ROAD CARS EXTENSIVELY DAMAGED [by telegraph—rjusss association] WE LLIXGTOX, Tuesday Facial and scalp injuries were received by six persons, all Wellington residents, involved in a head-on collision between two motor-cars on the Hutt Road tonight. No one was seriously hurt, but several suffered .shock and painful lacerations. The injured taken to hospital were:— Mr. Iv. McLeod, fractured nose, lacerated forehead and shock; Mr. V. Ka.vnor, severe injury to the nose and shock; Mr. A. Nixon, scalp wound; -Mr. A. E. McDowell, scalp wound and shoulder injury; Mr. P. Gillespie, cuts; Miss Loma Thomson, cuts on leg and forehead. The condition of the vehicles after the accident bore witness to the force of the impact, which tore a wheel oil one car and smashed both engines away from the mountings.
