NUTRITION PROBLEM
REPORT FOR THE LEAGUE PRODUCE OF DOMINIONS LONDON, August 27 The final report of the Nutrition Cominitteo of tho League of Nations recommends European Governments to reconsider extreme agricultural tariffs and quotas with tho object of improving the demand for cereals, meat and dairy produce from such countries as New Zealand and Australia, thus increasing those countries' domand for manufactures. Tho report points out that the mortality in London, Paris and Berlin is 50 per cent higher in the poorer districts than in the wealthier ones, owing to tho lack of bread and'protective foods. It is also emphasised that the adoption of a sound nutritional policy would markedly improve national health, and simultaneously benefit national and world agriculture.
