FURTHER RESTIVENESS MOTOR WORKERS' FUND FIGHT AGAINST A COMPANY (Received August 29, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, August 28 A telegram from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, states that the United Automobile Workers at a convention unanimously adopted a motion to mako a levy of one dollar on each of.. its 400,000 members for the purpose of establishing a fighting fund to organise the Ford Company's employees. Speakers declared that the company's policy menaced the union's future. IF STRIKES CEASE BOOM IN BUSINESS A (Received August 29,| 6.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, August 28 The United States Chamber of Commerce predicts a business boom accompanied by the highest level of employment in the history of the nation if major strikes and labour disorders can be avoided in the autumn.
