YACHTING
ROYAL AKARANA CLUB SAILING DINGHY RACES Tlio Royal Akarana Yacht Club held two faces for sailing dinghies on Saturday afternoon, starting and finishing off the clubhouse, Campbell's Point. The weather was favourable for yachting, a light south-south-west wind prevailing throughout the afternoon. In the first race, which started at 3.10 p.m., the finishing times were:—Pal (scr), 3h 30m Os; Aloha (scr). 3h 30m 228: Scram (oi/,m), 3h 30m 40s; Betty O. (2m 50s), 3h 32m 375; AVishwynne (2m 40s), 3h 33m 235; Weona (Sin), 3h 34m 6s; Lulu (7m), 3h 3-1 in 10s; Aiai (Um), 3h •llm Ss. The result on corrected times was:— Weona (N. Patrick), 1; Lulu (H. McDonald), 2; Scram (R, L. Stewart), 3. Tho second race started at 3.-15 p.m. and the finishing times were;—. Pal (scr), 4h.om Ss; Aloha (12s), th 9m 14s; Scram (355), 4h 10m 345; Betty O. (2m 20s), 4h llm 525; Weona (4m), 4h 13m 2s; Lulu (4m 10s), 4h 14m 40s; Wishwynno (3m 10s). 4h 19m 4s; Aiai (llm), 4h l»m 40s, The result on corrected times was:—Aiai, 1; Weona and Aloha, dead heat, 2; Pal, 3. Messrs. T. McKnight and H. Howell wero in charge of the racing.
