GOOD BOWLING

DOMINION CRICKETERS KENT SOON DISMISSED TOTAI OF 321 RUNS NEW ZEALAND IN AGAIN t By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON. August 20 With Cowie in his best form Kent found runs much harder to obtain today. The eighth wicket fell in an hour, not because the batsmen were taking risks, but because the bowling was really good. Cowie was steady in length, with good pace, and was always menacing. His analysis to-day was an accurate reflection of merit. Roberts took the last two wickets in quick succession. . New Zealand brilliantly opened their second innings. Vivian and Hadlee scored nearly two runs a minute, both playing freely in front of the wicket. Three' wickets were lost quickly when the batsmen forfeited aggression for caution. Moloney and Kerr slowly and surely advanced the score until the latter was briljiantly run out by smart fielding by Chapman. Moloney and Tindill, with determined batting, added 92 runs. Moloney was ■ patience personified with 36 singles in his half-century, which took over two hours, and Tindill, staying nearly an hour and a half, was a workmanlike helpmate. It was a valuable partnership., The wicket-keeper batted more like his-usual form. Moloney played another resolute innings at a critical time of just over three hours, and although he scored slowly, he never appeared troubled. Scores:— NEW ZEALAND!
