ARABS AND NATIVES MOMBASA. Ausrust 26 Arabs armed swords and stones attacked tlie district officer, Mr. Leslie, and Chief Inspector Kelson. Both escaped. Mr. Leslie was saved by an African from death by a sword thrust. Eleven Arabs are known to have been killed, but the exact casualties are at present unascertainable. Many are in hospital, while witch doctors are treating others secretly. The trouble'is the outcome of night affrays by Arabs in the native quarter, shop breaking and looting. To-day the natives charged the Arabs and more trouble is feared.
