GRANTS TO UNIVERSITY TWO DEGREES CONFERRED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Friday Notification was received at a meeting of tho executive committee of the New Zealand University Senate to-day, from the University of London Istitute of Education, that tho Carnegie Corporation of New York had extended for threo years, its grants to permit of tho award to two New Zealand University students each year of fellowships in education. The fellowships are valued at approximately £llO each, and aro awarded to assist students to continuo their studies abroad. The following degrees wero conferred:—Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, University of Otago, Mr. Walter James Ramsay; Bachelor of Dental Surgery, University of Otngo, Mr. Pat Noakes.
