WAIHI, Friday The following information has been cabled to the London office of tho Martha Gold Mining Company (Waihi) Limited:— No. 4 level. —In a crosscut to the north-west at 158 ft. south-west of No. 2 shaft, tho last section of Edward lode was intersected at 23ft. in. The width is about lift.,' assaying 41s a ton. No. 6 level, north branch Martha lode.—Driving west is suspended, and. a winze is now being sunk at 490 ft.. west. The first 45ft. assays 22s 6d a ton, the width varying from i one to two feet. North branch of Martha lode, west of Espir crosscut. —The next 53ft. assays 6s 3d a ton. The reef has split UPYIELDS OF COMPANIES , Talisman Dubbo (Karangahake) 51 tons of ore were ~ treated at tho Golden Dawn battery for an approximate realisation of £296. Mount Kasi (Fiji).—Four weeks ended August 13, a total of 2972 tons was crushed. Bullion produced contained 5540z. of fine gold, estimated " ( at £IS47 in Australian currency.
