MISSIONARY'S DAUGHTER
In "The Soothsayer," Mrs. 10. W. Snvi writes oneo again a story on India, and as sho knows tlie country intimately sho is wi.se in giving her big following the benefit of her knowledge. The heroine is the daughter of a missionary who, while not opposed to the work of her father, yet possesses unconventional views. Sho is, however, a woman of a fine type, and the wav sho tackles an Englishman who in the management of his estate in India upsets the native community, is well described. "The Soothsayer," by E. W. Savl. (Hurst and Blacked.)
