DEMAND FOR ORANGES VEGETABLE PRICES LOWER ' i Tho demand for apples and pears was poor at the City Markets yesterday, and there was little inquiry for lemons. Oranges and New Zealand grapefruit were sought. The last hothouse grapes of the season were sold yesterday. Passion fruit were scarce and prices high. A largo amount of vegetables was marketed, many lines selling at lower rates. Pumpkins and green peas, however, realised - high prices.
