PISTOL SHOOTING
AUCKLAND CLUB'S EVENTS Tho Auckland Pistol Club held a meeting at its clubrooms. The shooting was very keen and an improved standard was shown. The best scores _wero as follows (possible 25): J. Neath, 21, 1—22; C. Smith, 21, 10—25; J. Goddeh, 20. 2—22; H. MacRae, 20, 10 —25; A. Campbell, 17, 0—25; R. Stanley, 14, 10—24; D. Bull, 13, 10—23; S. Catchpole, 12, 5—17; B. Danks, 12, 2 14; G. Wells, 12, 10 —22; B. Mudgway, 12. B—2o8 —20 J. Neath and J. Godden tied for the President's Button and in an exciting shoot-off Neath shot the possible to win narrowly. Campbell won the Handicap Button, while the sweepstako was won by Wells.
