THE MORRINSVILLE CLUB [FROM OCR OWN correspondent] > MORRINSVILLE, Friday The most successful season for many years was reviewed at the annual meeting of tho '« Morrinsvilln Bowling Club. The annual report stated that for the first time for over 12 years the membership reached 70. and this was reflected in Die satisfactory state of the finances. The total receipts were £243 and the expenditure was £105., Tho club was well represented at various tournaments under ■ tjin South Auckland Centre ,and Goldficlds Association. Mr. S. H. G. Cornish was elected a life member in appreciation of his services to the "club almost/since its inception and particularly as green superintendent in recent years. ' The election of officers resulted:—President. Mr. F. J. Shirley; vice-presidents, Messrs. D. Barlow and E. A. Vowles; secretary. Mr. W. Hotherinttton; committee. Messrs. 'W. Butler, R. E. Williams. W. McLean, T. A. Colson and C. Sing; match committee, Messrs. A. W. Gordon, R. F,. ; "Williams and B. Chapman; selector, Mr. B. Chapman; green superintendent, Mr. W. A. Wallis; auditor, Mr. A. Nccdham; delegates to Goldfields Bowling Association, Messrs Shirley and Hetherington; delegates to tho j. - Sooth Auckland Centre, Messrs. Hetheringlon and Kirk.
