The Lancashire Society held a social and dance in the Arts Hall, Kitchener I Street, on Wednesday night, when a large number of members and visitors from other Auckland clubs wore welcomed by tho chairman, Mr. J. I-I. Smith x A programme, arranged by tho committee, included items by Mrs. .Inckson, Miss M. Mitchell, alid Mr. 't\ Mitchell. Mr. Peter Black was the• ttcCoinpahlst, Competitions were won bv Miss BrassIngton, Mr. and Mrs. Shaw, and-, Mr. Glover.. Dance music was supplied by Ml'. W. Lloyd and Miss 15.
