MANY PETITIONS HEARINGS IN HAMILTON NUMEROUS GROUNDS CITED [FROM OUR OWX CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON, Friday A wido variety of grounds was pleaded by petitioners who sought decrees annulling their marriages before Mr. Justice Callan in tho Hamilton Supreme Court to-day. All tho cases were undefended.
Mary Pike, was granted a decree nisi against Pcnstone Rowland Pike on tho ground of separation. An admission that there had been adultery on respondent's part was received in writing in the case in which Frederick Joseph .Richard Bryan was granted a decree nisi against Charlotte Bryan. Harry Leonard Morgan was named as co-respondent. Allegations ol Cruelty
Habitual drunkenness and cruelty on tho part of respondent were pleaded by Hinekura Mary Marjorio Ngaliiraka, a European, against Hori Ngaliiraka, a half-caste Maori, who is known as George Waldron. A decree nisi was granted. On similar grounds Lilian Catherine Annan was granted a dissolution of her marriage with William Alexander Annan. James Henry Skipper gave evidence that when ho camo to New Zealand from Australia to look for work in 1929 his wife, Rachael Emma Skipper, was to follow • him within thrco weeks. Ho .sent the fare to her twice, but she failed to arrive. Petitioner was granted a decree nisi. Three Years' Separation Evidence that tho parties had been separated for three years or more was given in support of the following successful petitions:—John William Copland against Emily' Jane Copland; Bessie Louisa Schischka against Wenzl Schiscbka; Joyce Wallace against Arthur Maxwell Wallace; Mary Ann Baird against George William Baird; Stanley Knox against Iris Gwendoline Knox; Frederick Charles Richmond against Emily Phyllis Richmond; Violet Thomas against John William Thomas. Failure on tho part of respondents to comply with ordcr ( s for tho restitution of conjugal rights led to decrees nisi being granted in the following cases: —William Henry Bates against Eileen Florence Bates; George Charles Daubney against Annie Lillian Daubney; Harold William Davidson against Mary Elizabeth Davidson. On tho grounds of desertion decrees nisi wore granted to petitioners in the following cases: —Henry James Santry against Grace Santry; Thomas Exford Tristram against Clarico Tristram.
ORDERED TO RETURN WIFE WHO WENT TO SYDNEY [from our own correspondent! HAMILTON, Friday An order for the restoration of conjugal rights within 40 day? was granted to Charles George Hillier against Margaret Hillier by Mr. Justice Callan in the Hamilton Supreme Court to-day. Petitioner said respondent went to Sydney in November last and had not returned.
