DEATH IN AMBULANCE
;ONCE PROMINENT FIGURE TARANAKI BUSINESS, MAN [by telegraph—own correspondent! NEW' PLYMOUTH, Friday Tho death has occurred of Mr. Francis Montague Mills, once a prominent figure in- business and sporting activities in Taranaki. He died in an ambulanoa which, followed by a doctor in a car, was hurrying him from lnglc- , ■ wood for treatment in the New Plymouth Hospital. It is believed that Mr. ' J : "Mills became ill after a fall. A postmortem examination was held and it is "understood that an inquest will be nectary. About 25 or 230 years ago, Mr. Mills was one of the most prominent men in .'Taranaki business and sporting circles. 'His interests ranged from land to gold mines. He was reputed to be a man of considerable wealth. Mr. Mills took a lively interest in racing and trotting. He -was G7 years of ago. He leaves a .widow and ono daughter.
