COURTCEAFT GALLOPS SMART TIME REGISTERED SMOKE SCREEN REAPPEARS [by telegraph—own correspondent] WANGANUI, Thursday Advancing his preparation for spring events in Australia, the Limond colt Courtcraft was responsible for a striking effort on the course proper this morning, when he covered five furlongs in the smart time of 1.2 2-5. Very hoavy rain fell during the morning and continued all tho afternoon, militating greatly against the attendance. Nearly all tho horses were from outside districts, Whakatane, To Puke, Rotorua, Putaruru, To Puna, Katikati, Paoroa and Thames' ownors being represented.
