CHARGE OF THEFT
FORMER PUBLIC SERVANT A cashier formerly employed by the Government Life Insurance Office at Christchurch, Russell Frederick Organ, aged 23. was charged before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday, with stealing £l3 7s Id from the Government. Detective-Sergeant Walsh said accused was arrested in Auckland on Wednesday as ho was about to leave New Zealand under an assumed name. Accused was remanded to appear at Christchurch on Monday.
