NEW THAMES COURT
SITE IN POLLEN STREET [BY TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT] THAMES, Wednesday Notice is given in the Gazette of the proposal to take 1 rood 20 perches of land in Pollen Street, Thames, with 99ft. frontage, for the erection of a courthouse. The land is between the Terminating Building Society's office and the Courier office. It is owned by the Stewart Estate. It has long been felt that the present courthouse in Queen Street is a long way from the business centre, while the new position is practically in the heart of the town. Mr. J. Thorn, M.P., has impressed upon the Minister of Justice, the Hon. H. G. 1?. Mason, the necessity for up-to-date premises.
