ROYAL EMPIRE SOCIETY
CONCERT AND DANCE A concert and dance, organised by the "companions" of the Royal Empire Society, was held last evening in the Penwomen's Club rooms. The following items were announced by the honorary secretary, Mr. D. Lock: —Piano solos, Miss Lorna Frith and Miss Joyce McKean; too dance, Miss Edris lUissell;' songs, Miss Kathleen- Boyle, Miss Connie Piper, Miss Patricia Boyle; song and dance, Miss S. Leuschke; monologue, Miss Nancy Pritchard; recitations, Mrs. M. CarteLloyd and Miss Tesj, Carte-Lloyd ; duet and dances, Miss Ngaire Hagues and Miss Elsie Stokes, Miss Patricia Boyle and Miss Joy Beattic. The ladies' committee comprised:— Miss Joyce McKean, Miss Pearl Sheppard, Miss Nancy Butler, Miss Marjorie Yeatman and Miss Mary Dyson.
