FAREWELL EVENING
CAMBRIDGE FUNCTION PRESENTATION TO RESIDENTS Jn honour of .Air. nntl Mrs. F. I?. AAoolridge, who are leaving to make their home in Wellington, a combined farewell social evening was held in the Parish Hall on Monday, when representatives of the Cambridge Literary and Dramatic Society, the Competitions Society, the Bowling Club, the Orphans' Club and the Returned Soldiers' Association were present.
An enjoyable programme of items was given, which included instrumental numbers by the Orphans' Club orchestra, songs by Miss Jean McLeod and Mr. Ron. Andrews, and violin solos by Mr. M. Richardson.
The presentation of a silver cigarette box was made to the guests of honour by the Mayor, Mr. C. H. Priestley, on behalf of those present. Mrs. G. G. L. Taylor, as hostess, was wearing a black crepe romaine frock with a black velvet coatee and Mrs. F. R. Wooldridge wore a green and rose floral lame tunic and a black satin skirt. Those present included Mrs. S. Lewis, Mrs. S. N. Ziman (Hamilton), Mrs. A. J. S. Richardson, Mrs. Boston Couper, Mrs. H. E. Amyes, Mrs. W. Munroe, Mrs. Edgar James, Mrs. N. Waddle, Mrs. Peter Williams, Mrs. H. C. Luscombe, Mrs. S. R. James, Mrs. \\ . Rush, Mrs. A. J. Swavne, Mrs. F. Payze, Mrs. D. W. Aricll, Mrs. J. 1). Clemow, Mrs. E. H. Leigh, Mrs. E. L.
