struck by a motor-car while cycling along the Great North Road. near the Stone -Tug. yesterday afternoon. He was taken to th<; Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. hi« condition last night being fairly serious. BREAKING OF CHAIN WAIHI BOY'S MISHAP [bt telegraph—ow>- correspondent] WAIHI, Wednesday A deep gash in the -knee, abrasions and shock were suffered by a pupil of the TYaihi High School. Victor Hossack, a son of Mr. J. Hossack. Bradford Street, when he was thrown heavily as a result of the chain breaking and causing his bicycle to get out of control on a hill yesterday. He was attended by Dr. A. Jenkins, who inserted several stitches.
