LOUNGERS IN STREETS
COMPLAINT AT DARGAVILLE [BY TEIjECRAFH OWN CORRESPONDENT] DARGAVILLE, Wednesday "The state of the streets on Saturday uights is terrible," said Mr. R. H. Dunn at a meeting of the Dargaville Chamber of Commerce last night. "Everywhere you see Maoris halfdrunk' lurching about the streets, while there are numerous groups of loungers blocking the way for shoppers. At one time the police kept the streets clear, but now they seem to do little. Strangers and visitors arc complaining about it."
