Mr. C. R. Ford and Mr. W. H. Gummer returned yesterday after visiting Wellington.

Mr. R- H. Allen, secretary of Amalgamated Theatres, Limited, returned from the South by train yesterday.

Mr. E. L. Rutledgc, general manager of Fox Films in New Zealand, arrived in Auckland from Wellington yesterday, and is at the Grand Hotel.

Mr. W. de Gruchy, colonial director of the Port Line, arrived from tho South by train yesterday. He is at the Grand Hotel, and will leave for Sydney by the Maunganui to-night. -

The Rev. W. C. Wood, chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board, left by train yesterday for Wellington, to discuss with the Minister of Health plans for the rebuilding of the hospital.

Mr. W. J. McGrath, a member of the Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramway Board, who is concluding a tour of New Zealand, arrived in Auckland yesterday, and is at the Grand Hotel.

Dr. Alistair Thomson, formerly of Christchurch and at present on the staff of the New Plymouth Hospital, will leave Auckland by the Niagara on Tuesday for England. He will take up a position in Birmingham.
