REMUERA CLUB'S OFFICERS A satisfactory financial position was revealed by the report presented at the annual meeting of the Remuera Bowling Club. " The following officers were elected:—President, Mr. Tj- L. Marey; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. C. Kissling, C. O. Mahoney and Professor H. W. Sugar; secretary, Mr. \V. R. C. Walker; treasurer, Mr. C. J. Ellorbeck; committee, Messrs. N. J. Buttimore, L?Si ?' if n C n Duncan, P. M. Macfarlane, M. M. McCallum, E. D. Reid; assistantsecretary, Mr. D. O'Leary; auditor, Mr. J. C. Badeley. It was decided to enter 20 teams for the pennant competition. The following are the prize-winners for tho season:—Championship singles, R. G. Norton; junior championship, M. White• champion pairs, P. Watson and A. D. Xewtbn; Harvey handicap singles, F. M. Shortt; Hart Cup. L. L. Macey; veterans' handicap, P. M. Macfarlane; Murdoch pairs, E. Leaning and E. R. Allen; Choyce trophy. J. P. Evans; Jobson fours, S. Somerfieid (skips), J. Dempsey (thirds), W. R. C. Walker (seconds), J. H. S. Jones (leads). SOUTH AUCKLAND CENTRE [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday Three new clubs were admitted to the South Auckland Bowling Centre during the year, affiliated membership being raised to over 1 r>l)0, stales the report to be presented at (ho annual meeting of the association this week. A credit balance of £43 was achieved, the centre's assets totalling £ll6 7s 4d. Fortyeight entries, a record number, were received for the centre tournament. Tho suggestion is made in the report that a pairs tournament, should be organised during the coming season, this game not having been provided for in the past, and that arrangements should be made for a tour of Taranaki.
