WOMAN MISSIONARY

VISIT OF MISS MARY REES The well-known missionary, Miss Mary Rees, of the London headquarters of the World Wide Crusade commenced her meetings in Xew Zealand 011 Wednesday evening at St James' Presbyterian Church. The Bevj Ferguson Fish presided and welcomed the visitor. With the aid of a lantern Miss Hees gave a vivid description ol the operations of the movement founded by Mr. C. T. Studd, former well-known cricketer and missionary. A further welcome was- given Miss Rees at the Baptist Tabernacle last night by the Rev. Dr. A. Hodge. The missionary gave an absorbing address 011 the movement, which, she said, was now working on nine fronts, including Arabia and India. Pictures were shown of the great gathering of 10.000 converted negroes held in the Ituri forest since the death of Mr. Studd. After several further meetings in Auckland churches during the next fortnight Miss Rees will leave 011 a tour of the Dominion lasting three months.
