EXCURSION TO ROTORUA
TARANAKI CONTINGENT [ FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] ROTORUA, Monday The 170 excursionists from the Taranaki districts who arrived in II o tor u a yesterday morning by special train were unlucky in encountering very unpleasant weather conditions, but as the rain held off until the middle of the afternoon they were given several hours to engage in sightseeing under reasonably pleasant conditions. In the afternoon several parties wore caught unawares by the rain, but all appeared to bo making the best of their bad luck and were in good spirits when the train pulled out on the return journey at 5.45 p.m.
