PHYSICAL CULTURE
TALK TO BUSINESS GIRLS To the strains of gay jazz music, and clad in a white satin blouse and black shorts. Miss Caroline Ward, of London, gave a graceful display of physical culture exercises at the Business Girls' Luncheon, which was held yesterday in the Milne and Choyce Reception Hall. "Thinking people all over the world to-day are becoming more and more health-conscious," said Miss Millicent Ward, who preceded her sister's demonstration with a short talk. Correct exercises gave to those who carried them out a suppleness and poise which was necessary to the modern woman, she added. M iss Caroline Ward's attractive exhibition of waist-circling, kneebending and arm-raising was concluded by an amusing exercise called "Elephants." In this the feet are apart and the trunk bent from the waist, so that the hands can slap the floor with a rhythmic movement. All the exercises were performed to music, the accompanist being Mrs. Daisy Brassey.
